Grace and Alvina look back at their new year's resolutions to see if they've made any progress (spoiler alert--they have!). For their fortune cookie segment, they talk about what song best represents their graduation. Also, hear about Alvina's mega family reunion trip to Puerto Rico!

How have you been?

Alvina recaps her family reunion trip in Puerto Rico with over 70 people! They stayed on the resort most of the time but occasionally went into San Juan and also took a Bioluminescent kayak trip! Grace has been working hard on her first pass pages of the upcoming new novel. The paintings and illustrations are a work in progress. Grace has been using “Speechify” app. Grace is creating a “street team” for her new book. If any listeners know anything about having a street team, please contact Grace!

Mid-year check-in!

Grace and Alvina quickly go through their original New Year’s Resolutions and their do-overs. The book friends talk about writing wills, celebrating 50th birthdays, fiber supplements, menolabs, decluttering, and intermittent fasting! The book friends also shared one thing they wanted to let go of at the beginning of the year, so they checked-in on that! Grace talks about giving up comparing herself to others. Things to dress up for: Grace is looking forward to The Carle Honors will be on September 26th! The Wild Robot movie is coming out!

Grace is grateful for Hazel’s perfect report card! There were a couple report cards that showed she was struggling so she’s grateful that she’s doing well. Alvina is grateful for escaping some travel woes on the way back from Puerto Rico.
