The Book Friends talked about the ruling of Mahmoud v. Taylor : a United States Supreme Court case about parents who wished to opt their children out of instruction involving LGBTQ-themed storybooks in a Maryland public school system. The Court held that the school district's policy of not permitting opt-outs violated the parents' right to free exercise of religion under the First Amendment. They read a statement by Katherine Locke.

Life has been pretty simple at home and she’s been grateful for all the quality time and small wonderful things in the world like new flowers growing in her yard. Alvina is grateful for tennis!
