“How have you been?”
Alvina has been back to work after vacation and GETTING MARRIED! After they got married they stayed in Vermont for a couple of days and did a visiting friends and family tour. They visited Grace in Northampton, then went to a beach house in Connecticut that belonged to a friend, and then drove down to New Jersey where Stephen is from. Grace and Alvina discuss the origins of the term “Honeymoon”. Alvina and Stephen are heading to California in about three weeks to celebrate with her family.
Grace has been not getting enough sleep and is feeling a little off from that. Speaking of Imposter Syndrome, discussed in episode #115, Grace was experiencing those feelings lately while comparing her art work with others. The Association for Library Service to Children, released her Newbery logo for the Newbery Medal celebrating its 100th Anniversary.
Above is the key to Grace’s logo design! Each object in the image symbolizes a Newbery book—can you guess which one?
