“How have you been?”

Grace has still been busy with the Horn Book Cover art, finishing up her Maya Lin book for the She Persisted series, the second set of storytelling math board books for Charles Bridge Publishing, and working on her Legacy Award speech.

Alvina is attending the Kindling Words. She also went to the Kweli conference. She also watched the Oscars! Grace and Alvina discuss the Will Smith and Chris Rock slap.

The Homework of Adulthood

Grace came up with this idea from an NPR’s LifeKit episode where they discuss the different styles that people approach the administrative homework in their lives. Here are the 4 kinds of people:

  1. Super Do-er

  2. The Reluctant Do-er

  3. Admin Avoider

  4. Admin Denier

Grace is a reluctant do-er and sometimes an admin avoider

Alvina is super do-er and a reluctant do-er mix.

Fortune Cookie Segment:

What cheers you up?

Alvina: dancing with Stephen, going outside in nature, cute animals, cuddly cats.

Grace: Tiger water bottle, RISD arts & crafts sale with Hazel.

Gratefuls:

Grace is grateful for Justina Chen who is helping her write her Legacy speech!

Alvina is grateful for celebrity sightings! She saw Ben Stiller out to eat the other night. They ran into several friends in Manhattan. Coincidences!

Thank You!
