Hazel needed some new clothes so Grace took her to Old Navy, and she also celebrated that Lisa Yee is a National Book Award finalist for her book, Maizy Chen’s Last Chance. Christina Soontornvant acknowledged her as an inspiration.

What Makes You Remarkable?

The book friends though of this topic as a prelude to an episode they may do down the road, entitled “Do epic *(STUFF/Bleep/). Robin Arzon inspired this. Grace and Alvina talk of Dreaming Big! In order to think about big dreams, they thought it would be important to think about what makes them remarkable. Grace and Alvina share what they think is remarkable about themselves.

The Book Friends also discuss “36 Questions That Lead to Love” article in the NY Times. Some examples they ask and answer together:

How could you better embarrass yourself?

What life experiences have shaped your personality and character in the most profound way?

What is your idea of luxary?

What are you most proud of?

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

What do you make excuses about?
