Episode #262: Retirement!
Grace and Alvina talk about what they envision their eventual retirement will look like (don't worry, it's still a long time away for both of them), including some of the things they need to do to prepare. They were inspired to talk about this topic because of the recent retirement of some long-time editors.
For the Fortune Cookie segment, they talk about their favorite moments of the Summer Olympics!
How have you been?
Grace finished all of the art work for her upcoming novel and finally finished her coconut birthday cake! Alvina enjoyed a first weekend at home without any plans and she started a wooden 3D puzzle. Alvina also was inspired to draw again!
Retirement
The book friends are not retiring this podcast! There are many retirements in the industry. It is also the 25th anniversary for Alvina at Little Brown is approaching. Retirement has been on their minds. They discuss what it means to them, when they think they will retire, and what they will do when they retire.
Olympics
Grace and Alvina talk about the Olympics and some of their favorite moments!
Gratefuls
Grace is so grateful for the delicious salads she has been making with her Ugly Vegetables garden. High Five Books is getting mail for Grace. Alvina is grateful for her Mother-in-laws for the puzzle gift and for Mark Hamil, a voice in The Wild Robot movie.
