How have you been?

Hazel, Alex, and Grace went on another road trip to find an Anti-Gravity Monument! The Very Asian Book Trip will be happening again in October! Alvina had a relaxing weekend lounging around watching Love Island! Christie has been watching the Olympics.

Breaking into publishing

The book friends talk to Christie about how she got started in publishing through internships and how she ended up in Little Brown Books for Young Readers. The book friends talk about SLM. (School and Library Marketing.) Alvina and Grace ask Christie about marketing children’s books for conferences and events. The main conferences are TLA, ALA, and NCTE.

Alvina is grateful for technology! Christie is been really into smoothie’s and is grateful for her sister ( her best friend) and for curiosity and hope that keep her going. Grace is grateful for the post she made about the June show at the Eric Carle Museum and the amount of enthusiasm it brought. She is also grateful for some of the emotional moments of sportsmanship at the Olympics.
